Hello! I just read your update. I have been on Mounjaro (Zepbound in the UK) and have written a bit about it if you want to have a look on my substack. In short, it’s great but you need to drink loads of water and up your fibre intake. Prunes are your friend! But you know the drill by now with GLP-1s. Good luck! X
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm on Mounjaro and writing about it as well, I'm paying for mine as well and it's interesting to see how it compares.
I’m on zepbound, not writing about it! 😂 I’ve been on it for a year. I’ve lost 40lbs but have plateaued since Christmas. So my doc just increased my dose. He’s an obesity specialist and thinks zepbound is better too. Good luck!
Also my side effects have been minor. But I’ve never been on wegovy so I can’t compare.
I’ve been using Tirzepatide since last July and am close to goal. The concern with postpartum use for these drugs is a possible contraindication with breastfeeding but I assume your doctor and you have decided this is right for you.
If you’re constipated, please increase your fiber update. I eat lots of vegetables, beans and whole grains but if I have an off day I absolutely pay for it and have been known to go a day without pooping. This motivates me to eat oatmeal for breakfast and/or beans for dinner.
I wish this medicine had been available when I was younger. It’s such a godsend.
(Yes, I’ve written about it. My account will be the one with the nude pic of my 59-year-old self!)
